SYSGROUT 651 is supplied as a ready -to -use dry powder, requiring only the addition of water to Produce a free -flow non -shrink Grout. The material is a blend of specially process cement, pre -graded fillers and additives which impart

SYSGROUT 651 on setting will have a micro — cellular structure with high frost, fire and oil resistance.

USES

For effective support beneath Load bearing units especially where static and dynamic forces occur. Also as an efficient medium for transferring all operational loads to the foundations.

For free flow grouting of Machine base plates, Crane and Transporter rails, standing equipment bed plates, stanchion bases, steel rolling mill beds, pumpsets etc.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
PREPERATION
FOUNDATION SURFACE

The Substrate surface must be free from oil, grease or any other loose adherent material. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base. Bolt holes and fixing pockets must be blown clean from any dust or debris.

PRE-SOAKING

Several hours prior to grouting, the area of cleaned foundation should be flooded with clean water. Immediately before grouting takes place any free water should be removed with particular care being taken to blow out all bolt holes and pockets.

BASE PLATE

It is essential that it is clean and free from oil, grease, rust or scale. Air pressure relief holes should be provided to allow venting of any isolated high spots.

FORM WORK

The formwork should be leakproof. This can be achieved by using foam rubber strip or mastic sealant beneath the constructed formwork and between the joints.

In some cases it is practical to use a sacrificial semi dry sand and cement formwork. The formwork should include outlets for pre- soaking.

UNRESTRAINED SURFACE AREA

This must be kept to a minimum. Generally the gap width between the perimeter formwork and the plate edge should not exceed 150 mm on the pouring side and 50 mm on the opposite side. It is advisable, where practical, to have no gap at the flank edges.

MIXING & PLACING
MIXING

For best results a mechanically powered grout mixer should be used. When quantities up to 50Kg are used a slow speed drill fitted with a high shear mixer is suitable. Larger quantities will require a high shear vane mixer. Do not use a colloidal impeller mixer.

To enable the grouting operation to be carried out continuously, it is essential that sufficient mixing capacity and labor are available.

The use of a grout holding tank with provision to gently agitate the grout may be required.

CONSISTENCY of GROUT MIX

The quantity of clean water required to be added to a 25kg bag to achieve the desired consistency is given below.
Flowable: 4.50 Liters.
The selected water content should be accurately measured in to the mixer. The total content of the SYSGROUT 651 bag should be slowly added and continuous mixing should take place for 5 minutes. This will ensure that the grout has a smooth even consistency.

PLACING

•  At 30 degrees centigrade place the grout within 20 minutes of mixing to gain full benefit of the expansion process.
•  SYSGROUT 651 can be placed in thicknesses up to 100 mm in a single pour when used as an under plate grout.
•  For thicker sections it is necessary to fill out SYSGROUT 651 with well graded silt free aggregate to minimize heat built up.
•  Typically a 10 mm aggregate is suitable. 50% to 100% aggregate by weight of SYSGROUT 651 can be added.
•  Any bolt pockets must be grouted prior to grouting between the substrate and the base plate.
•  Continuous grout flow is essential. Sufficient grout must be prepared before starting. The time taken to pour a batch must be regulated to the time to prepare the next one.

CURING :

On completion of the grouting operation, exposed areas should be thoroughly cured. This should be done by the use of continuous application of water.

CLEANING :

SYSGROUT 651 should be removed from tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use. Cured material can be removed mechanically or with the help of cleaning agents.

ESTIMATING
PACKING :

SYSGROUT 651 is supplied in 25 Kg moisture resistant bags.

YIELD :

Allowance should be made for wastage when estimating the required quantities. The approximate yield per 25 Kg bag for different Consistency is:

LIMITATIONS
LOW TEMPERATURE WORKING<

When the air or contact surface temperatures are 10 degrees centigrade or below, warm water is recommended to accelerate strength development. For ambient temperatures below 10 degrees centigrade the formwork should be kept in place for atleat 36 hours. Normal precautions for winter with cementitious materials should be adopted.

HIGH TEMPERATURE WORKING

At ambient temperature above 40 degrees centigrade, Cool water (below 20 degrees centigrade) should be used for mixing the Grout prior to Placement.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

After Laying the Tiles with Tile Adhesive, It is recommended to maintain the Specified Gap between them. Clean the Tile Gap so that there is no foreign matter in which the Material has to be placed.

All components of SYSTILE GROUT EP has to be mixed thoroughly and care should be taken to see the homogeneity of the mixed SYSTILE GROUT EP. Mixing of the material has to be done by using Mechanical Mixer and used within the stipulated Pot life.

It is absolutely forbidden to use any other ingredient other than provided the three-pack system. The system is almost self-compacting and self-leveling as such it does not require any vibration or the compaction.

MIXING

It is better to mix the required quantity of 250 gms pack with the dry cement with the help of Mechanical mixer. Proper care should be taken to see that it is mixed uniformly. Care should be taken to ensure as low water cement ratio as possible to get high quality grouts.

APPLICATION

The Mixed Grout or Concrete with SYSGROUT 654 should be used within 20 to 30 minutes. Care should be taken to ensure that cleanliness of the substrate is maintained and it should be moisted enough. Grout should be used as early as possible maintaining a continuos flow, otherwise it may lead to placing and pumping problems. All loose particles, laitance, grease and oil should be removed from the substrate.

ESTIMATIONS

With 50 Kg Cement 1 Pack of SYSGROUT 654 will yield 36 Liters of neat Cement grout at a W/C ratio of 0.41 to 0.45.
With Cement: Sand (1:1) 1pack of SYSGROUT 654 will yield 56 to 58 liters of grout at a W/C ratio of O. 45.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Epoxy Resin System comply to ASTM — C 881 —78 Type III Grade I Class B or C. All instructions and guidelines given by the Manufacturer have to be specially adhered to.

NOTE:

SYSGROUT 655 is designed to work even at Temperature of 45 degrees Centigrade. But care should be taken to see that the grouting is normally carried out at ambient temperature i.e. from 5 degrees Centigrade to 35 degrees Centigrade.

AREAS OF APPLICATION

This Product is used for Repairs & Rehabilitation of Structures. Used for filling up of air line Cracks in Roof slabs in order to make structurally sound. SYSGROUT 655 is also used for effectively rehabilitate cracked load bearing elements of Bridges, Girders, Columns, Generator Sets, Beams etc.

SYSGROUT 655 can also be used for filling up of Cracks associated with Cold Joints as they can be completely sealed and it requires no further vibration to fill up the cracks.

METHOD OF USAGE

All the Cracks where the grouting has to be done, Nozzles are inserted in to the cracks after drilling holes at regular intervals. Through them, using a low pressure injection grout Pump, SYSGROUT 655 is injected. All care should be taken to see that the mixed material is injected well before the given Pot Life.

A hydrostatic head has to be maintained for ensuring proper flow of the SYSGROUT 656 and it has to be poured from one end only.

It is absolutely forbidden to use any other ingredient other than provided the three pack system. The system is almost self compacting and self levelling as such it does not require any vibration for the compaction.

The materials are tested in accordance with BS 5080 & BS 4551.

PROPERTIES

Compressive strength at 30 degrees centigrade

1 Day:60 N/mm2.
7 Days:81 N/mm2.
Tensile strength at 30 degree centigrade:12.5 N/mm2.
Flexural strength at 30 degree centigrade:24 N/mm2.
POT LIFE

Pot life @ 30 degree centigrade 20 — 25 minutes.

BOND TEST

As per BS 5080 Part —1: 1974, A bolt of 20 mm Dia. with an anchorage of 200mm was tested for bond strength, there was no product failure, and the bolt failed at 11 tones.

METHOD OF USUAGE

For finding out the anchorage depth, annular size, take the assistance of SYSCONS representative. The drilled holes should not contain grease, oil or any other contamination, which may affect the bondage between the substrate and the resin grout.

MIXING

The two parts of the “Resin” and the modified fillers should be thoroughly mixed preferably by a mechanical mixer until a uniform mixture is obtained.

PLACING OF SYSGROUT 657

The required quantity of the SYSGROUT 657 should be poured gradually into the drilled hole and bolt is pressed gently such that it touches the bottom of the hole and the resin grout fills the annular space. Slightly move the bolt once or twice to ensure even spreading of the SYSGROUT 657 in the annular space. Once the bolt position is in position at no cost it should be disturbed & the SYSGROUT 657 should be allowed to set.

ESTIMATION

The volume of the annular space where SYSGROUT 657 has to be filled gives the required volume of SYSGROUT 657. Add to that some Wastage to the actual volume of SYSGROUT 657 required. 1 Kg of SYSGROUT 657 yields 0.5 liters of mixed SYSGROUT 657.

PRECAUTIONS

SYSGROUT 657 Should not fall on skin. When it falls, Wash with plenty of water and soap. When it falls into the eyes, immediately wash with plenty of water and take medical advice. All tools have to be cleaned by using cleaning agents.
